Description:
My SR.N5 is a scratch-built model to 1:12 scale. I have built a number of these models over the past 20 years to my own design, and recent advances in electric motor technology have enabled me to greatly improve the performance of this design.
In previous models, I have used large brushed motors to drive the lift fan through a belt drive system. The high torque and lower running speed of the AXI has allowed me to redesign the fan to fit round the motor.
This model is faster and quieter than previous attempts. It is great to be able to use a brushless motor powered craft in forward and reverse!
Some of the photographs show this model running in the sea on a windy day with winds gusting to 55kph.
