Description:
PC-21 is scratch built in scale of 1/8. The construction is unusual balsa/depron sandwitch made in male molds. The surface is covered with a very light iron on film an then painted and details added. Altough its wingspan is 113 cm the lenght is 141cm so wing loading is quite high but it flies very well. Measured top speed in level flight is 150 km/h. Retracts are pneumatic. With 10x6 propeller motor draws 45A so it is a bit on the limit but it has handeled it well. Because the model has unusually long spinner it requires a very smooth running engine to avoid vibrations. I tried it with a cheap chinese engine but it didn´t work at all.
