Description:
My Do 335 B-2 Arrow is an 30 Yeras old Rommler Kit from Germany. Styro Foam and GFK, Hawe Metal Retract with struts, air wheels. In the World War II was the Do 335 the fastest Prop engined plane about 850 KMH. All product Planes around 20 Stk. was Experimental V planes. The two AXI4130/20 with Ramoser Vario Prop in the DO are very powerfull and the pusher prop gives a good sound to the modell. It flys very good but its not a modell tho fly everyday.
For the start project was it a long way as far as all necessary parts and documents was together carried. The majority was found in the Ebay. Basis was GFK trunk, Styro Abachi surfaces and a Hawe retract. There I a Scale fan am naturally as much as possible at details into the model was brought. Landingflaps, surface cannons, landing gear bay lining. The largest and most complex detail was the nose gear with headed for wheel linings before all linking the flaps. The feature of the DO 335 B-2 were the surface cannons, these transport were made removable and from Balsaholz manufactured. The model with colors of plastic models Life Colour, per far clay/tone was painted only 5 doses A 22ml was needed. For the large cranks Urmodelle on the turning lathe were made, GFK forms made and laminated afterwards from 2 layers to 80 gram of GFK. A manufacturer crank weighs 20 gram with a diameter of 80mm.
The exact airspeed I cannot say unfortunately, but with full achievement fast to enough for my nerves. Flying time amounts to approx. 5-6min however with enough reserve river in the Akku. With the DO 335 no aerobatics is possible, however it can be flown very realistically (Scale)
