Description:
Semi-Scale model of the well-known WWI biplane. ARF kit by Hangar9/Horizon. Very nice, easy build kit! I painted the glossy covering with a matte varnish to get a more scale look. Also, I added some more detail to the engine dummy by painting it using tamiya color. Motor setup works great on the model and gives scale-like flight performance. Low current (around 26A) gives good endurance. One more note: In order to use the engine dummy which comes with the kit, I needed a longer motor shaft, which I made from 6mm steel to replace the original one. Had to do this to get enough clearance between propeller and cowl.
