TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible Cause Solution
The model is vibrating Unbalanced propeller Balance the propeller
The model is vibrating Propeller is a poor fit on the adapter, too large a bore of propeller for the adapter Use a new well balanced propeller or a bush which provides minimal clearance between the propeller and adapter
The model is vibrating Weak motor mount which works as an amplifier of vibration Strengthen the motor mount, and glue or fix it well to the fuselage
The model is vibrating Motor mounting is loose Tighten the mounting screws of the motor
The model is vibrating Wrong timing selected Use "hard timing" with Jeti controllers and AXi outrunner motors
Motor jerks or turns very slowly Foreign object inside the motor (for instance dirt after landing, metal partical, washers etc.) Remove foreign objects carefully with pressurised air or tweezer. Customer service may be needed.
Motor jerks or turns very slowly Burned motor after oveloading Customer service is needed
Motor jerks or turns very slowly Poor connections between motor and controller Re-solder motor connections
Motor is overheating Overloaded motor Measure the maximum current at maximum throttle with a fully charged battery. The current should not be higher than the current capacity shown in the specification table. If you use unusually high-capacity or high-current Li-Polys the voltage under load can be high even when using the recommended props, and this can result in higher current. In this case use a smaller diameter or lower pitch propeller.
Motor is overheating Lack of motor cooling Allow air to flow through the motor, for example using cooling holes in the firewall of the model
Low power from a power system with an AXI motor Use of Li-Poly cells intended for low current loads (high current can cause damage to low current Li-poly cells) Use Li-poly cells with a higher current capability or higher capacity cells which can carry the load.
Low power from a power system with an AXI motor Unsuitable power system design (motor, batteries, ESC) Use an optimized power system which is recommended for each AXI motor
